Assisted Living Communities are state-licensed and regulated facilities that offer 24-hour supportive care staff. This living situation is aimed at those who need help with one or more Activities of Daily Living, such as cooking, eating, getting dressed, getting in and out of bed, doing laundry, or using the restroom.

The size of these communities can range from small residential homes up to large communities providing services to hundreds of residents.

Assisted Living Communities typically offer many amenities and activities, provide a comfortable atmosphere, and strike a balance of independence and assistance that caters to each resident’s needs. They are predominantly private pay, but some communities do accept Medicaid.
